Cabernet Sauvignon
Riva di Ponente translates to 'steep bank where the sun sets.' Grapes are sourced from a 1.4 acre vineyard block with full western exposure. This is probably our warmest block due to the afternoon sun. The soil is a white volcanic ash.
This is a wine of focus. It begins with aromas of bright plum and pronounced caramel, roasted coffee, and grandpa's cigar box. Sink into the black cherry fruit and mocha on the palate followed by soft, silky tannins and a lingering finish.
