Cabernet Sauvignon

Rive di Cimarossa is a blend of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from all 10 vineyard blocks from the Cimarossa estate. This wine represents the best that Howell Mountain has to offer. Elevation ranges from 1700-2100 feet; several soil types; sun exposures from the east, west and north. The wine is aged for 22 months in French Oak barrels, 45% of which are new.

“The 2009 presents a little more richness in its fruit than the 2008, which serves to balance the firm mountain tannins. Mint, grilled herbs, flowers and licorice are some of the notes that are layered into this energetic, focused Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a great showing for 2009. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024”
