A wine of depth with a beautiful blackish-purple hue. Aromas of graphite and smoke are layered with dark red/black fruit. Large, yet refined, high quality tannins. This wine is intense and extremely integrated with excellent long term potential.
Rian translates to 'seasonal creek' in Dino's Genovese dialect. Grapes are sourced from two vineyard blocks split by a creek lined with olive trees. The vines are planted in a porous volcanic base with thin top soil, providing excellent drainage and therefore, very small, intense berries.
