2010 brought forth many challenges to Napa Valley, but resulted in an intriguing and sexy vintage. The growing season was long and cool, starting in the spring with record temperature lows and continuing through the summer until the brutal heat spikes of August where temps reached up to 115 degrees on Howell Mountain. Due to the long growing season, the grapes reached perfect maturity to produce beautifully harmonious wines with deep purple color, brooding fruit and luscious tannin. There is no doubt these wines will benefit with a few years in the cellar, but if you like your wines utterly profound like we do, popping a bottle now is absolutely allowed! Enjoy.
